How Alter Chiropractic Took Over Delray Beach on Google

The challenge

Dr. Ryan Alter had built Alter Chiropractic in Delray Beach into a busy practice — 8,000+ patients and 500+ five-star reviews — but on Google, it didn’t show it. An April 2025 local-search scan put the practice at an average Google Maps rank of 12.9, unranked across much of the surrounding area. The reputation was there; the online visibility wasn’t.

What we did

Dr. Alter had come from a bigger, more corporate web company and wanted the opposite — a partner he could actually reach. CHIROBASIX rebuilt his website around his own photos and video, took over their local SEO — the compounding work that moves a practice up Google’s Map Pack: a dialed-in Google Business Profile, locally-relevant content, and the on-site and off-site signals Google weighs when it decides who ranks for “chiropractor” in Delray Beach — and runs their Google Ads so new patients arrive from the Map Pack, organic search, and paid search at once. Every photo, video, and change runs through an approval workflow, so what goes live is exactly what he signed off on.

The results

The map flipped from red to green. By September 2025, the same 49-point scan averaged a Google Maps rank of 1.8, with Alter ranking #1 at 33 of the 49 points measured across the city — up from a single #1 before. From the Turnpike to the coast, “chiropractor” now puts Alter at the top.

Organic search followed, and then some. Per SEMrush, Alter’s count of keywords ranking on Google grew from roughly 150 in late 2024 to about 1,650 by mid-2026 — more than 11× — climbing to a near all-time high. Alter went from a great practice nobody could find to the one Delray Beach finds first.
